Hello Cynthia, your Kencove 24 Joule energizer should pull about the same watts as a 100 watt light bulb, the fuses located inside the energizer can not handle a larger watt drawl than 100. The average watt draw is roughly 60 watts or 43kw per month. If you have any questions feel free to give us a call 1-800-KENCOVE.

By: Cynthia Nowlan Thu, 29 Dec 2016 18:43:37 +0000 Hi, I have had my Kencove 24 Joule charger for 2 years now, and have recently noticed a huge increase in my power bill (from $8.00 month to over $50.00). There is only the fence, my barn lights, and the well running off the meter, and I have narrowed the problem down to the charger. I have fixed many areas of energy leakage, and know I still have some areas where plastic post insulators are cracked… I have reduced the energized area from 5 strands over about 5 acres down to 3 strands…I am surprised the bill is still this high…Is this typical?
Thanks so much!

It might increase ever so slightly, probably not even noticeable!

Does that change any when using netting fencing?

What about when the pigs dig up dirt and push it against the bottom strands of the electric netting fencing?
